opera interval

by kevinwilson @ 2008-05-03 - 23:21:14

it's time someone came up with an alternative to interval ice creams.

i remember going to see the welsh national opera perform at the mayflower theatre in southampton - la boheme, i think - and it was so hot i just had to have a king cone.
unfortunately the lights went down as i unwrapped the beast and it started melting so quickly i had to lean forward in my seat and guzzle noisily as it spilled onto the carpet.
the lady in the tiara next to me was not amused.
there must be a better way.
still it's better than the noisy popcorn tubs and gigantic coke tubs you get at the cinema.

There's nowt like a good slurp of an ice cream is there! Trouble is, you have to be quick to stop it going everywhere ;)

hmm, yes, ice cream is a little common for the opera old chap.
Perhaps, caviar on dainty pieces of toast ( the non crunchy variety) or healthy pieces of fruit, cut up into bite size pieces.

ah!
how divine!
darling, you're an absolute angel!

:))

Ah, Poole's Lighthouse lets you buy expensive tubs of ice cream so if necessary you can drink the contents if they melt...:) Surprised you could buy a king cone in an opera!! big hugs...XX
